Oooooh, love these photos. All hail the mighty guitar, creator of all things great and small and the maker of fine music.
Ever thought of dyeing yer hair ginger?
You are a self absorbed twit
The god of Rock!
The self absorbed twit bit is way too harsh in my opinion but I would like to ask Steve. Do you ever feel the least bit silly pushing sixty years of age sitting in front of the computer taking photo after photo of yourself?
Hey Anonymous at 11:11pm :i dont understand why sk would post ur response but id like to tell u to F$%k off for him.If you dont like what u read-GET YOUR OWN BLOG !!!!My 2 year-old daughter has better manners than you and she has yet to begin calling people, she doesnt even know, names. Grow up and get off the internet-find something constructive to do, like F$%king OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DJK082067Sorry SK...there is no call for people to behave like that, you provide an insight and inspiration for so many, and when one TWIT keeps breathing and spewing out shit like that- some1 needs to stand up and be heard.
How many photos of yourself did you take to get these 13 that were put on the blog? 100 or more? Does it take hours for you to sort through the photos of yourself to get just the right ones?Curious in Atlanta
Panther equipped with Jaguar? Ex-jazzfiend with Jazzmaster? My Guitar Brain (the lizard part) tries to scan and analyze... in any case, a nice looking byrd!!
Picture (number) 4: when I'm walking on the beach during a low/minus tide, I find Starfish too far up on the rocks, away from the water -- the tide is so low and will take too long to bring water back in to them. Their colors are changing and they are starting to become skeletal. Pretty little creatures... hope that moving them back to different rocks (in the water) saves them. I've never "googled" them. Whether what I am doing helps them or not. It would be sad if I were wrong.Picture (number) 4 is my favorite.
NIce pics but I am not mother tongue English, so I am left to wonder what "uke" means... In Norwegian it means "week" - one week (and some days) to timebeing.com? Are you using it as a shortening for ukulele? "Uke" can refer (wikipedia) to the Universistats Klinikum Hamburg Eppendorf, a German hospital (!), or to someone/thing Ukranian. Finally "uke" is also, in manga/hentai terminology, someone passive in a male/male relationship, but I can't see a real correlation here (just one song: Ladyboy)...Am I missing something?Cheers,AndreasGenoa/Italy

Anon @ 11:11--You're reading this blog, so what does that make YOU???
And you Anonymous at 11:11 have accomplished nothing worth noting (probably ever) except for a display of narcissistic masturbation! Bravo!
Well, it is known other people look at this. Like putting up a photo for yer friends, I do it all the time. Don't you? Oh well to hell with the anon...I love that guitar. How old is that thing? Is that vintage? Love it. Have you ever been interested in Rickenbacker basses? I saw Marty plays one when he plays bass. I understand why. He's a Ric enthusiast, too. But I always liked the basses. Ever try playing Marty's. Just curious.EDD
@ Anonymous 11:43pm :WTF has age got to do with anything? We should all be sent out to pasture or something past a certain age?Great photos, love the colours.
One of those will end up on the wall in the downstairs loo. Sounds a bit undignified but believe me - and I know most of you will never have a pee in there - it's becoming a bit of a groovy place.
Hey , it's all right for Anon to have his opinion and it is good for Steve to be publishing a different point of view rather than only publishing the usual suspects with their hero worshipJohn.W
re: picswas working in studio playing martys jazzmasterhad a couple of minutes downtime n i snapped these with my lappy also sitting therei took about 12 shots n it took me about 2 minutesi didnt sift thru em, they all looked ok, so i put em all up cos i didnae have time to write anythingyes im a self absorbent twiti can be used for many functionsyes im pushing sixtyi cant drive 55
Don't pay attention to the anon, Steve. So what if you're a self-absorbent twit? So am I. And so is the anon - that's why THAT twit needs to see his own frustrations in writing!
Hiya sk, I'll miss your blog page when its replaced by your mega-site too, but a change will be a good thing and I can't wait!!!P.S. Hey Andreas, although you are not "mother tongue English", I really enjoy reading your comments:) CiaoJust one more thing......To JOHN W., bloody hell!, do you really have to congratulate the rude dickheads that insult sk for no reason on his blog, and then bag the rest of us "usual suspects" for writing our opinion(which happens to like/agree with what sk publishes on his blog) gee surprise, surprise, that we fans LIKE what sk does...if you can't stand him or us, stop reading and good riddance!
that's leads us to the question of what you and marty were doing in the studio? any hints?
really...someone's worried about how many pics you take of yourself. looks like they're the ones who need to find something else better to do. it's your mac...you paid for it...you can take as many pics as you like. i use mine to take pics of me for my facebook profile pic. who cares...you write about what...350 blogs a year? make an album or so a year...play how many shows? paint how many pieces? if you want to spend a little time photographing yourself...have fun!is it really bothering someone else that much???griffo
Just checking in on you...Nice shots! Have a good one!
I have been dong reaearch, Anon 11:11 AND 11:41...you are the same envious tiny pig that has been making all the silly comments on this blog. I am SO CLOSE to having your name little piggy!! Keep your silly comments coming. I already knew you were in the Atlanta area. You should STOP. You can't though because you fancy yourself a smartie. Guess what...this SK fan is a privare investigator and I'm good -no, GREAT! at my job.
awww...I think the pics are cute. :-) davem -- I'm a bit confused ... one of what -- guitars or pics of Steve?

as long as it's not vulgar, the banter doesn't seem all that bad. The responses back to the banterer are charming, actually.Besides, it provides mental exercise to get back to the thought prior to and after a short giggle.
i just love these self-potrait photo's, such a lovely tone and colour to them .. the first and last are my fave's :)) just love the rosy glow to them, nice work !!!
Nice photos. Uke... jazzmaster...life's wotcha make it, baby!! ;)luvya man!
nice photos!! nice guitar!!!
You have the sinister hand!
That jazzmaster was probably the one played on the U23 tour from 2009??? - what a great guitar. A subject for a blog post, in and of itself, the specifics of how that thing can sound in the hands of a fool or an artist.
ahh the fender jazzmaster. i think i've seen that live a few times, maybe?cheers
just saw the comment you posted re: the continuation of the blog element. very cool. ahhhhhh,,,,........(back into the ether)....
