The self absorbed twit bit is way too harsh in my opinion but I would like to ask Steve. Do you ever feel the least bit silly pushing sixty years of age sitting in front of the computer taking photo after photo of yourself?

Hey Anonymous at 11:11pm :

i dont understand why sk would post ur response but id like to tell u to F$%k off for him.

If you dont like what u read-GET YOUR OWN BLOG !!!!

My 2 year-old daughter has better manners than you and she has yet to begin calling people, she doesnt even know, names. Grow up and get off the internet-find something constructive to do, like F$%king OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry SK...there is no call for people to behave like that, you provide an insight and inspiration for so many, and when one TWIT keeps breathing and spewing out shit like that- some1 needs to stand up and be heard.

How many photos of yourself did you take to get these 13 that were put on the blog? 100 or more? Does it take hours for you to sort through the photos of yourself to get just the right ones?

Picture (number) 4: when I'm walking on the beach during a low/minus tide, I find Starfish too far up on the rocks, away from the water -- the tide is so low and will take too long to bring water back in to them. Their colors are changing and they are starting to become skeletal. Pretty little creatures... hope that moving them back to different rocks (in the water) saves them.

I've never "googled" them. Whether what I am doing helps them or not. It would be sad if I were wrong.

Picture (number) 4 is my favorite.

NIce pics but I am not mother tongue English, so I am left to wonder what "uke" means... In Norwegian it means "week" - one week (and some days) to timebeing.com? Are you using it as a shortening for ukulele? "Uke" can refer (wikipedia) to the Universistats Klinikum Hamburg Eppendorf, a German hospital (!), or to someone/thing Ukranian. Finally "uke" is also, in manga/hentai terminology, someone passive in a male/male relationship, but I can't see a real correlation here (just one song: Ladyboy)...
Am I missing something?

Cheers,

Anon @ 11:11--

You're reading this blog, so what does that make YOU???

And you Anonymous at 11:11 have accomplished nothing worth noting (probably ever) except for a display of narcissistic masturbation! Bravo!

Well, it is known other people look at this. Like putting up a photo for yer friends, I do it all the time. Don't you? Oh well to hell with the anon...I love that guitar. How old is that thing? Is that vintage? Love it. Have you ever been interested in Rickenbacker basses? I saw Marty plays one when he plays bass. I understand why. He's a Ric enthusiast, too. But I always liked the basses. Ever try playing Marty's. Just curious.

WTF has age got to do with anything? We should all be sent out to pasture or something past a certain age?

Great photos, love the colours.

One of those will end up on the wall in the downstairs loo. Sounds a bit undignified but believe me - and I know most of you will never have a pee in there - it's becoming a bit of a groovy place.

Hey , it's all right for Anon to have his opinion and it is good for Steve to be publishing a different point of view rather than only publishing the usual suspects with their hero worship

Don't pay attention to the anon, Steve. So what if you're a self-absorbent twit? So am I. And so is the anon - that's why THAT twit needs to see his own frustrations in writing!

Hiya sk,
I'll miss your blog page when its replaced by your mega-site too, but a change will be a good thing and I can't wait!!!
P.S. Hey Andreas, although you are not "mother tongue English", I really enjoy reading your comments:) Ciao

Just one more thing......
To JOHN W., bloody hell!, do you really have to congratulate the rude dickheads that insult sk for no reason on his blog, and then bag the rest of us "usual suspects" for writing our opinion(which happens to like/agree with what sk publishes on his blog) gee surprise, surprise, that we fans LIKE what sk does...if you can't stand him or us, stop reading and good riddance!

the dean said...

that's leads us to the question of what you and marty were doing in the studio? any hints?

restaurant mark said...

really...someone's worried about how many pics you take of yourself. looks like they're the ones who need to find something else better to do. it's your mac...you paid for it...you can take as many pics as you like. i use mine to take pics of me for my facebook profile pic. who cares...
you write about what...350 blogs a year? make an album or so a year...play how many shows? paint how many pieces? if you want to spend a little time photographing yourself...have fun!
is it really bothering someone else that much???

as long as it's not vulgar, the banter doesn't seem all that bad. The responses back to the banterer are charming, actually.

Besides, it provides mental exercise to get back to the thought prior to and after a short giggle.

That jazzmaster was probably the one played on the U23 tour from 2009??? - what a great guitar. A subject for a blog post, in and of itself, the specifics of how that thing can sound in the hands of a fool or an artist.
