hahaha sweet... great show tonight at the NorVA. It was a great anniversary present for me and my wife. Sorry we couldn't stay to chat though...long drive back to Richmond.
BTW don't let those sunglasses block out your carreer.
Wicked! Can't wait for the release of your ballet box set!! But you know what SK, you could NEVER be compartmentalised no matter how many box sets you bring out. Really good to see you having fun
agh! you cut off right when some other uber-famous rock star was coming into frame to see what all the ruckus was....now who WAS that SK?!?! hopefully there's a part two to this posting.
just when i think you're an artiste who takes himself seriously and is out to change the world of rock'n'roll as we know it, you come out with something like this....fawlty towers, here we come....
I can't decide if you are cuter or funnier! I feel so much better this Thursday day before Friday before the weekend after witnessing this display of personality.
wow, DalĂ painted the top half of the Disillusionist's body on your wall (or is it called "The Disillusionist Auto-Sodomized by the Horn of His Own Chastity"???)
That was so much fun! Got a good laugh. Somehow I think you were feeling no pain that night. lol
(and I didn't feel as if I was on the verge of a seizure either, which is always a good thing! Videos with a lot of quick cuts and/or jerky movement ... ugh ... sometimes I just have to close my eyes or look away when those are on. In the grand scheme of things it's no biggie, but it was great to be able to watch it straight through. :-) )
Incredible ad libbing - You always make me smile..
Preaching to the choir for you I'm sure, but just as a matter of interest for you and the blogees, this is amazing info below
As much as I really, really hate to cite results of animal experiments because of the extreme cruelty involved (and usually, the results cannot be extrapolated to humans accurately anyway), If you want to be the captain of your own ship, think hard about this profound finding. In the standard American diet, even meals considered wholesome are little more than junk food, i.e. macaroni and cheese, etc. How many people even know what healthy food is? Even vegetarians must beware, as Twizzlers and kettle cooked chips can be as seductive and destructive as anything else.
Your friend in Pennsylvania:
From 4/16/10 issue of The Week magazine: Junk food is literally addictive, producing changes in brain chemistry similar to those cocaine causes, say a new study. To explore how overeating affects the brain, scientists at the Scripps Research institute in Florida monitored electrical activity in the brains of rats given unfettered access to cheesecake, frosting, bacon, and other fatty, high-calorie foods.
Not surprisingly, the rats quickly became obese. They ate compulsively and continuously, even ignoring electric shocks applied to their feet in the presence of food (The shocks deterred two control groups of rats from eating.) As the food-addicted rats ate, the high fat, high-sugar foods lit up the pleasure centers of their brains just as if they were taking drugs; over time, the rats had to eat more and more fot, sugar, and salt to feel rewarded.
"They lose control," study co-author Paul Kenny tells Discovery News. "This is the hallmark of addiction". When the junk food was removed and health food was offered, Kenny says, the rats were so upset that "they basically starved themselves for two weeks." The finding doesn't surprise food experts like Dr. Gene-Jack Wang of Brookhaven National Laboratory, who points out that fast-food meals and heavily processed foods are stripped of fiber and nutrition and designed to trigger innate preferences for fat, sugar, and salt. "We make our food very similar to cocaine now," he says.
In ritual last night under the beautiful, yellow, full moon I felt happiness and bright renewal. It correlates with your wonderful concert (lyrics and sounds) that I had the opportunity to join in once again this year.
You have given lyrical and ambient motivation to my brilliant girlfriend to re-adventure into the ancient world of epic adventure and epic delight!
OK that's funny! Just want you to know that the Norfolk show was great! You guys are incredible. Unfortunately I had to leave a little early to drive back to Richmond. I was wrecked today but it was totally worth it! Hope you guys make it back to Virginia, see you then!
Even though he never met me, I influenced every SK song ever written by my transference of rock karma via remote viewing, crystals, and long-distance telepathy. Once you master the art of harnessing dark matter in the universe, you too can influence your favorite rock star.
why just recent -- I was walking into a little beach coffee shop and there sat steven jenkins on the patio...talking with marc bolan... [marc] was giving [steven] poetic direction he credited with your teachings to [him]. It was a sunny day.
LMAO I had no idea who The Church were until Murdock introduced me to your music. I'll have to thank him as it would have been a shame to have missed this gem of a home tour.
