Very cool! I love seeing you guys get exposure. You're a natural front man, Steve.

Media Stars....nice video, TTB. I like the colors at the beginning, very vivid and startling. I heard it was a great show, enjoyed by all, which only whets my appetite for the bands arrival in these parts, in Atlanta. Lead bass and vocals...heh, heh. Indeed.

Hope it's a most enjoyable and successful tour.

Best Regards,
JJ

Hey sk,

Did ya feel the earth move under your feet.....?

Malcolm Turnbull resigned from Parliament today, maybe leaving a spare seat for you in the future?

Hope the tour is going well, would love to be at one of the gigs. Keep on rockin!

You know, the thing I always tell people is that "Milky Way" is off of the band's sixth album. That simple statement tends to put the longevity of the band's career in much better perspective.

Arty rock....rock art...anyway you look at it, you guys rock like no other. I can hardly wait until you make it to Mpls...and those t-shirts are awesome!

don't you love making small talk with the media......

love always.....

A month of that must drive you mad? An amusing little insight for us though!

The absurdity of media is always amazing....the bass is a guitar, the band is from the north pole etc. etc...Anyway at the same time is even full of humor. Will you never be in Italy? Have a nice tour and in your hotel rooms write something for us.

Every time you tour overseas you say it'll be the last time as you can't afford to keep taking the financial hit.
Please don't lie again - make this time really be the last time!

the 2 steve's : the one who lived thru that interview to further expose the church to our country-along with your wit and charm-ur a magician. the other steve: lets say around 20 or so years ago who would have destroyed that bloke in front of his own peers with fast insults and ridicule...drove him away in tears- something he would deserve for not being prepared for an interview with the true icons of "arty rock".

i can only imagine that steve clawing his way back to the surface to take a much needed swipe at that clown, but ur so cool-its scary !!!!
the guys looked great, hope all is well, see you next week in chicago. scrapping money together so i can hit that merch table hard- need to replace my starfish shirt and i am craving the new deadmans hand shirt.

b well and safe,

THANK YOU!! Last night's concert at The Roxy was a breath of fresh air. I loved the fact that you were the only band playing - no opening band. All Church.

The evening went way too fast and alas, I sped home as I needed to get up far too early to go to (ugh) work. My [fantasy] way to meet you guys one day is around, oh, 9:00 a.m. at a nice cafe. Fat chance, huh? LOL!

Anyway, beautiful concert, great energy and yes, I agree, the crowd was very appreciative.

Oh, and I'm relieved there were chairs this time. :-))

Thank you again so much.

Those of you going to see The Church shall not be disappointed. You're in for a real treat.

Smiling this early this morning [despite being at work]

Hey Therese.

Do you know SK has a special relationship with Malcolm Turnbull.

In one of SK's biographical moments from a couple of years ago, SK tells how his mother predicted the teenage MT would be PM. Pretty well spot on.
SK describes well the special presence qualities of MT.

If I had a day I could probably find it. I know.. SK.. we need an index to the TTB.

ahh yes, the clueless news anchor. I think that's an archetype. why the fuck don't they ever research their bits ahead of time?

could have been worse (or better) i suppose. you could have been interviewed by ron burgundy. stay classy san diego!

you should have clubbed that leather sun skined blaggard with with your bass woden style, and said so long and thanks for all the fuckin fish' "Wilbey" indeed.

Give that anchorman enough rope, honestly - do some fekkin' research!

That was hilarious!

I think you might have freaked the poor guy out when you said you were from fucking Sydney! Loved "umm...arty rock"! lol!

And below is a link to the clip from the program. And, nope it's not the whole song. :-(

This was wicked! If you ever decide to expand your creativity into doing a comedy double-act at least you’ll know where to find your straight man!

Pretty cruel though to taunt your followers with just the first four notes of this STILL unmatched classic don’t you think?

Oh by the way, nice t-shirt, wonder where the concept for that one came from? Ha! Ha!

Steve, thanks for reminding me why I stopped watching KUSI news. Dave Davis is a classic San Diego on-air douchebag. Sad to say is only one of many here. Radically changing the subject, the show at Anthology Sunday night was the best Church acoustic gig I've seen. Thanks so much for a great evening. I just hope you guys will remember how much we enjoy seeing you guys at the Belly Up as well.

Ugh, so sorry you were subjected to our lovely local media. Hopefully it didn't sour you on our mostly-wonderful city.

You know, it wasn't that bad. I mean, at least the tv guy was laughing at the absurdity of the situation. Not everyone knows about everything. He got major laughs out of the band and was good humored about the whole thing. And the band got major exposure. If it had been some dull hipster that knew everything about the band it would have probably been a boring interview. This was more like something out of a Fellini film like Toby Damit. In fact, I think someone should hire Steve to play Toby Damit in a remake.

that newsman was a complete dolt. but it was nice to see you guys getting some tv airtime, though.

drive carefully.
