lyonesse
no
atlanta
hartford

constantinople
i look in the mirror
oh ageing down the ages
we pull in somewhere for gas
i check my monitor
i lose my key
i lose my patience
i eat some cashews
a large soy latte please
more guitar in the left speaker please
can i sit in the front
can we stop soon my legs are aching
hotels blur by in green and brown
goodbye everybody
i gotta go
gotta leave you all behind n face the truth
i drink some booze
i drink some water
pack my case
unfold my guitar
stretch out on my mat
i zoom along thrum thrum hum thrum
i get in i get out i get in again
smoke some more
play some more drive some more
forget some more
unreality has set in
new york
tokyo
london
munich
everybody talking bout
pop music

Have my mat right alongside my bed so yoga has become much like sleep for me...regular, necessary, dreamy and peaceful.

groovy, very groovy and poetics portraiture in the color of spring (chartreuse)

If you know what chartreuse is and you're a man, you might be gay!! LOL!

I don’t envy you your hectic schedule SK. No real time to rest or recoup, one place blends into the next. Pity one of your past lives wasn’t as a travelling minstrel; which would make this tour a walk in the park.

Can’t help wondering how the other guys are feeling? I’ve always felt America to be an ott country, which is perhaps its worst and best quality dependant of what you want, so unreality probably is reality, just hard to acknowledge when things move so quickly. I guess this isn’t just the 30th anniversary tour, but a genuine Blurred Crusade!!!

'M' --- I heard you don't particular care for The Church as your band name....well, it's a hell of a lot better than 'M' (although it didn't stop "Pop Music" from hitting #1 on the Billboard charts :)

Bloody Volcano. I've had to cancel my trip to New York to see you play. Im absolutely gutted.
I sincerely hope to see you in Europe...someday soon.

Good luck with the rest of the tour. It sounds amazing (which doesn't make me feel any better).

Cheers

Stephen

I remember when we met,
the feeling, the connection.

We grew together and we danced in life, though there was a time I lost you.

But the river will flow to the sea.

Summer will herald Fall.

Until we meet again.

Re: ageing down the ages--
Did you know that you look younger in real life? I was surprised by it. Perhaps mirrors and pictures don't capture your energy.

Interstate highway - will get you where you are going, but they are often long and tiresome. That said, you have the life that some would be green for . . . You are a lucky man. Wish I could say "see you soon in __________!"

Dear Steve:

I believe the medical term is Dragon Ass Syndrome? Anyway, I can't imagine how you are all doing it. We just drove two days from Florida to PA and still feeling it.

If you get a chance, watch the two links here to put a smile on your face and charge your battery.

One is a particularly funny Daily Show.

The other a Charlie Rose interview with Neil Young. They discuss the creative process in songwriting and show a few clips, as you might expect. But then, in case you haven't been keeping up to date, he is pursuing a method of eliminating roadside refueling. Awe inspiring. Brought a tear from me.

Three of my heroes--Charlie Rose, Neil Young, and Jon Stewart. But you are still at the top of the list.

I must say you really DO look fabulous, Steve. Yes, we all age, but boy do we age differently [depending on lifestyle, genetics, stress levels, etc.] but what you're doing lately is working very well for you.

Hang in there. Your fans are really looking forward to seeing/hearing The Church. Then you can go back home to your loving family.

You're a very "rich" man - you make your living as a musician/artist, you have a devoted wife, five gorgeous daughters, a band with whom you've played/toured for 30 years [must be a record] ... you're very blessed.

Word. We all pass thru the same stages of disillusionment but few of us are making anything worthwhile out of them. You guys are men, but playing music of the gods. You're saving souls mate. You'd suffer anyway, regardless. None of us escape it, but some of us create something. And that's what lasts. The rest is just dross that burns off with time.

I'm the lame-o who yelled "HEY!" & gave a fist-pump when you all piled out of the Club Cafe in Pittsburgh for your between-set break; an unforgettable moment for you, I'm sure... Finances & circumstances wouldn't allow me to catch you on this tour & I was so shocked to see you at all that that was the best I could do on short notice. Sorry; I know it was pathetic. In my defense, I HAVE seen you on the last 3 tours; this one just didn't work out. Best wishes for the rest of the tour & as long as you 4 keep makin' music, I will be listening closely. Thanks.
