COOL!!!!!! I like some of your "instant songs" better than the one's that (ahem)appear on some of the latter Church albums that seem a little overwrought.....but not "Happenstance" of course - best song I've heard all year!
Can you persuade the band to make it to "the 'Gong"?

Oh yeah! did you really just whip that up? love it.

my favourite off painkiller

never underestimate the power of the 'la, la, la' or the 'yeah. yeah, yeah' or the 'woo hoo hoo'

cool stuff as always. that's a great song. enjoyed the crazed multidimensional cafe interview, and great to hear you hit it home on the west coast.

I like it, it's cloudy and easy to listen to. Dreamy.

I'm excited because I'll be seeing you in Brisbane this month with The Church.. being 19 I haven't had a chance to see you before. I can't wait :)

There are many interesting elements at work here but the drumming stands out most eloquently.

Yet another catchy tune from the maestro!

I have to agree with Richard though about the power of ‘la, la, la.’ I reckon it's recognised in every language? Most of my family are in Austria; my aunt and uncle are both musicians/singers and whenever there's a song with the good old ‘la, la, la’ in it and they want their audience to join in, one of them will always say, ‘come on you can all join in with the English text.’ Haha!

I was just listening to Painkiller on my way to work. Love that CD!

Thanks, Steve.

P.S. But my favorite cut from that album is "Not What You Say."

It is eerily gorgeous, hypnotic and never fails to totally quiet my mind every time. I just LOVE that song because it takes me "there."

Go killer. Groooovy.
A good incentive to listen to pk later.
Got to drive and pick my lad up from the Muse gig tonight in Brum. I'm not too keen on them myself to be honest.

Love that track. It's in the top bracket of tracks on Painkiller (along with virtually all the others).

I too love the la la las. And that 'come on' is the most chilled out, yet effective I've ever heard. The antithesis of all of Z de la Rocha's with Rage Against the Machine.
