well...since they are most likely not available in the states, this veg would 'afta take your word for it. they look healthy, though.
as far as veg recipes, www.vegweb.com is a great source. user submitted and user reviewed, ranging from lacto/ovo to raw vegan.
Haha, I like the back-to-front ad for this one:) Thanks though sk, I've tried over and over to make veggie burgers at home but I can never get the "crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside" thing happening, so I'll look around for these.
For another easy veggie meal/snack at home, go to the Asian supermarkets and hunt out the frozen vegetarian Fried Dumplings, you half steam/half pan fry them so they're crunchy on the bottom, soft on top and the filling is delicious chopped up tofu, ginger, spring onion and other herbs. They're not spicy, so they're kid friendly also, just dip them in soy sauce and you can't stop!!!.
It's my 2 year anniversary this month since "becoming a vego", so thanks for this foodie blog sk.....but more Music Month please Mr Music!

The next time you're in Los Angeles, there is a place in Canoga Park (in the burbs of the San Fernando Valley) called "Follow Your Heart" and they make an award-winning burger! Totally vegan, not crumbly, soggy, etc. It's the bomb, as the saying goes.
Boca burgers are good, too.
By the way, garden burgers are way over-rated.
P.S. I also HIGHLY recommend a great place called "Real Food Daily" located in Santa Monica (they've got a restaurant in Hollywood, too). Gourmet, organic, vegan, outrageously delicious food! Had lasagna the other night. I swear cheese/meat eaters would not know the difference.

Well, for God's sake, Steve, you SHOULD be getting some sort of kick-back from this endorsement!! I'm freakin' STARVING, and I can honestly say I don't think I have ever wanted a veggie burger so badly before in my life!! No joke. I don't know if they are available in the U.S., let alone Chicago (home of Pig, pig and more PIG!!). Yeah, SOME Boca burgers are pretty "do-able", but definitely not all. Some are just dry, dry, dry, OR like you said...mushy...yuck. I've had Home-made one that were really pretty good too, but I don't know the recipe.
Anyway, thanks for the tip. I'll be on the look out for these... Whole Foods?, Trader Joe's??? I really hope they're not just confined to Oz.

Don’t reckon they’re available way over here but if they taste half as good as they look then they’re way better than Boca. I’m not big on Boca vegan patties. I buy a lot of Morningstar Farms. Unfortunately, tho they be meatless they're not always vegan.

Here in Olney, Maryland, we used to have an Alehouse that served a veggie sunburger with a lemon tahini sauce.

'Fraid I'm omnivorous, I'm too weak to stray too far from meat so far. But I must say that I really like Boca burgers, and these Bounty Burgers sound tasty. Hopefully someone in the US will start distributing them or come up with something similar.

It certainly does suck when you find a product you love and then the company goes out of business or discontinues that product. Hope the company not only stays in business, but grows. They look and sound wonderful -- I'd certainly give them a try if they were available here.

Hi - dunno if any of you knows about these fab Italian products - I truly recommend them!! The guy's a GENIUS - I met him a few years ago at a big organic food fair. He was carving slices from what looked like a roast "pig" but which turned out to be made entirely from a special blend of native Italian wheat, pulses (not just soy) and herbs... His idea is that carnivores can be won over if you serve them proper stuff! (and he staged it out appropriately). Believe me, he's managed to reproduce the most fantastic Italian salami and meat products with 100% vegan organic GMfree ingredients. AND - I can assure you that Italians are VERY demanding when it comes to food!! Cannot say anything about the burgers as compared with others - I'm not a big burger fan personally (not in my food culture really) - but I would truly recommend you try some of their other stuff. I'm pretty sure they can ship it to you (though maybe wise to get some friends to share the benefits and costs... ahum! we all want to be sustainable no?). Far as veggie burgers go, Trader Joe's Vegetable Masala Burger is the best I've had.
Sounds good. I hope to try it sometime. I'm partial to the lentil burger. :) I like 'em spicy from the Cass Cafe in downtown Detroit. Then there's Om Cafe's seaweed burger; that's pretty delicious.
I'd be interested to know what the ingredient they have listed as Flavour is :). Companies are allowed to list MSG as flavour or natural flavour if they want to.
These are fantastic burgers. I've had them before myself and if anyone wants to try these, come along to the Green Earth Festival at the Botanic Gardens in Brisbane this Sat 13th March 2010. Starts at 10am. There's heaps of other great vegan food too! Heaven!!
