the twillies

video

three times now
i have attempted to post a video
of the twillies in action
but no dice
i probably aint compressed the doo dah enough
or centralized the ding dong
reading instructions bores me
i have a kinda attention deficit disorder
and its always been easier to figger things out for myself
i'm a hard bloke to teach anything too
and i learn slowly
well i discovered i have one day less in sweden than i thought
i leave tomorrow instead of saturday...
i feel a bit cheated
losing that day
but the thought of "catching up" with my wife
is some compensation anyway
its been quite a while
spent the day in the country yesterday
swimming in the lake
walking at night with the girls
picking hallon (wild raspberries)
n smultron( wild strawberries)
sweden is lovely
its hard to leave in summer
but i must
new york will seem hellish
compared to the tranqulity of a near empty stockholm
and the absolute zen like calm of the country
still......

Your swedish made me laugh, Steve - not because it was bad, but because it was great fun hearing an Australian guy speaking swedish.
Very impressive. And I should know what with my ex-girlfriend being swedish.

Ellen said...

Well, one thing's for sure, Steve, you know how to keep your "voyeurs" entertained.

Relieved to see how calm you were during that "earthquake."

Safe travels to New York. Even though you have one less day to enjoy lovely Sweden, you'll be back home one day earlier.

Teenagers are a trip aren't they?

What a great blog, I enjoyed seeing you with them

I have a better time with my Niece now that she's a teenager,
than I ever did when she was really little,
when they're younger they're really cute and sweet (usually)
but as they get older it can be challenging, scary, and rewarding also
my Niece is starting to drive and going out with boys, guys, males, whatever, Ugh!
I'm spending the weekend with my Niece and her friend, wish me luck!

And safe travels to you too!!

Skitbra svenska!
Listening to the soundtrack for your paintings now ... it's just brilliant.
Sorry you had to leave early, good to see you though. Call me if there's time for a fika.

That was both charming and an interesting insight into your life outside of music. Thanks for sharing it.

Wait a minute, I logged in here expecting a new live version of the Tricka Tricka Boom Boom Song and all I got was a couple of beautiful young Swedish women speaking about life and stuff with their father!

LMAO - that was great. Loved the wild kingdom bit in the intro, stalking the elusive swedish teenager in its own habitat.

they seem like reel nice kids, sk. with cool accents. they'll break some hearts for sure. but english guys as the ideal?!? really??

yeah, i think you were right. your swedish is about the same as my japanese (not sure if that's a compliment or resignation). i did catch that bit about the guys at the pool in bondi saying your swedish was great - guess i've been hanging out over there too much during the last 2 yrs. i'm becoming quite the cunning linguist.

you're nailing the video blog format nicely. the first one opened well but was a bit rough after that. but this one was great from start to finnish.

What wonderful beautiful creations the Twillies are SK! I am glad you got to spend some time with them and unwind after this brilliant tour. They are both treasures!

Glad to know you'll be flying overhead tomorrow here in NY! Safe trip home...I know NK and the little ones will be glad you're home again.

And btw, we are all LOVING your video blogs! You're a total natural in front of the camera and thanks for such a charming glance into your life, we appreciate it a great deal!

Safe trip home Killer!

Great to see you and the Twillies interact, Steve. They seem like really great, sweet girls. Glad you got to spend some time with them. I hope they appreciated it too.

Now I know what must have pissed you off the other day...the "mysterious comment" some prick said about you and your loved ones. although it was a great rant, I felt bad for you that you had to deal with that...again. Good on you for telling that bastard [those bastard(s)?] off.

Thank you for letting "us" in to your life a little bit. I don't care what you or anyone else says about you, you're a good bloke and I can tell you're a great dad. Keep it up. :)

Well, sorry you had to fly off sooner than expected from Sweden. Hope you have a decent time in NYC for a day or whatever, and a very safe (hopefully relaxing?) trip back to Oz. I know it's a long trip, so hang in there. You'll be back in NK's arms very soon, and of course the embrace of the Doodles and little SK.

Much love to you and your family...across the world.
Cheers and happy trails,

Ben

Steve,

safe travels to you as you make your way back home. That's a bit of a paradox considering you probably feel most at home in both Oz and Stockholm where all the lovely ladies in your life reside. Hopefully we here in the states made you feel at home as well. We most certainly love having you and can't wait for your return.

Until the next tour my friend !

Enjoying the videos and living vicariously in Sweden; sounds quite wonderful. And how is the Scandic cuisine?

Survived the big 2009 layoff at corporate soul-sucking behemoth I work for, so back to the usual grousing - but cheque deposted in bank account monthly is soothing.

I envy yer lifestyle, Magician, and hope you can keep Taxman at bay and not declare the pennies on your eyes upon return to Bondi. Safe travels to Hive City.

Nevets,
Love the video blogs. Those will be great for the next tour. It will give us some real insight into a Church Tour. The Twillies are gourgeous. You're going to have to keep the men off them with a fly swatter in the years to come. I can't wait to see the other set of twins & NK on camera. Great seeing you & the boys in NYC. I've never seen you have so much fun playing live as this last tour. Hope you enjoyed the Bolan discs. Take Care, Hot Toddy
