yes DMT is wild, i got some from a friend who was Terrance McKenna's neighbor in Hawaii just before his death. really pure stuff as far as chemicals go. great visuals, but it left a terrible aftertaste in my lungs for days. i would have seen my spirit animal if i knew what to look for. it all happened so fast. still have a small bit myself, but i haven't been able to bring myself to smoke it because everytime i open the container the odor alone is almost too much.

Ayahuasca (contains dmt I believe, but something else as well, and is longer lasting) on the other hand, I would still like to try.

The only drugs allowed are those that encourage conformity and make work-slavery bearable.

From your profile I see you are into nursing (it says nursing, student, so I figure you are still working on it). Have you seen the data on how many preventable deaths are caused by medical mistakes in a year (the figures I can find quickest are for the US)? I have heard figures from studies which show between 44,000 and nearly 200,000 deaths per year from medical mistakes -- many of them adverse reactions to legal drugs. Those are only the deaths. Many more don't die but are maimed for life. During the same periods the figures for deaths from illegal drugs per year range from under 16,000 to a little under 53,000 when you figure in illegal drug related deaths from things such as HIV/AIDS. Even if you aren't in the US I will bet the rates of medical fuck ups are similar worldwide. So linjo, you are in or getting into a profession that pushes drugs that can and do kill and maim people. That seems a bit hypocritical of you. (I actually do think many legal drugs are wonderful things, but I also think that of many currently illegal ones too)
Steve's a big boy. He's seen up close and very personally both the positives and negatives of a pretty good variety of illegal drugs. Life is full of risk -- the key to living fully and meaningfully is balance, and each person has to decide for him/herself which risks are worth taking and what other actions will best balance those risks out for that individual.
Clearly what is a balanced life for Steve is not a balanced life for you, but that doesn't mean his is wrong for HIM. What is so hard to understand about that?

dmt is not a drug - it is already present within almost all mammalian nerve tissue. it is no more alien than saliva, no more a drug than blood is. all you do is temporarily increase the levels to enhance performance of an organ and tissue - just as gatorade boosts electrolyte levels to enhance organ and tissue performance. the reason it last so short is it is so swiftly recognized and metabolized.
you dont burn out any circuitry doing this - you increase it. DMT is essentially serotonin not being allowed to breakdown. its totally natural, happening every night when you lapse into the dream state. what you have done is found a way to by pass the sleep stage.
thats not to say its a toy or shocking to the system.
the captain and i have put much thought into the whole matter. tho its not to post here. i suggest you discuss with him over a cup or two of some other psychoactive. sadly i will only be there in spirit.
