Pain is a sensation that makes us feel alive. I would rather kill pain and feel invincible. So i am sure Sk that your song will be invincible. Currently re-reading Fellowship of the ring am currenty up to -A journey in the Dark- It is an even better read after the partaking of maybe one or two Herbal enhancements (if ya know what I mean) Man did they get it wrong though with the films. The visuals were great but there is no substance to it all-JRR's essence is but a thin veil. Like the darkness that shadows Frodo as he succums to the poisons of a Morgal Blade. Sorry for this bit of nonsense as it doesn't really relate to anything. But i guess I just felt like saying something. Cheers everyone,

Will it be downloadable, available in thick vinyl, and relentlessly hyped and flogged by the Sunday Telegraph?

davem said...

SK - Whilst Therese and Amanda may want to see your calves I desire you to get your painkiller out for me. Matty D - If you are any sort of gentleman than I trust once PK has been released and purchased BY ALL that this rough mix will be downloadable for us to share??? Otherwise, as vice dep PM I will be sending you to the Tower for you to remain as long as the ravens are in residence. This may not be long though as I expect Brien C will release them and ban the cruel practice of clipping their wings!!

You see, the problems usually arise
When overenthusiastic guitar mavericks
Crank up the intensity on their delay pedal
Only to find out
After the mix
That this has caused the album's release
To likewise be d-de-del-dela-delay-delaye-delayed...

painkiller is a gem. it should be available on prescription, because it's not for the faint of heart. it should be sold in every coffee shop in holland. it should be placed in any forest, just right between the mushrooms. it's the history of rock, it's 11 essays in rock. it's a monolith...and a kaleidoscope.

god i love that opener, you haven't heard a bass guitar like that. it drags Remindlessness' surreal textures into the modern world. it's rock 2.0...no...2.5 -

and there's that wailing, yearning ballad in the middle of it.

and it has that special epic track...9 minutes...in 5 disguises. it sounds like Cohen jamming with Jimmy Page, like Steve Howe jamming with Tom Verlaine.

it comes with that lavish 40p. booklet and several prescription guides...it comes with a little bag of herbs...and another prescription. it comes with a handcarved sculpture and a handful of flight tickets for you and your family. it comes with an invitation for a convention in memphis/egypt.

and i haven't even heard it...

davem said...

I agree that your bass playing is getting better and better. It seems that you save some of the richest and best playing for tracks that don't hit the full albums. I've been listening to Parallel Universe this morning and there's some fab playing on mixture. Ditto BWTB & BY.
Hopefully you'll be at your best on Painkiller.

Painkiller will be another addiction that will go along with my medications, Jim Beam, healthy and junk vegetarian food and too many other vices to mention. Radiohead are great but what Band has ever put out better CD's than the one's referenced below.

After Everything Now This
Uninvited Like The Clouds
Forget Yourself&Beside Yourself
Priest=Aura
Hologram of Baal
Sometime-Anywhere
Starfish
The 2005 and 2007 Acoustic Gems.

not the beatles. The latter may be the greatest because they were the most talented band. Their only cohesive masterpieces were Rubber Soul, Revolver and Sgt. Peppers. The other records had intermittent hall of fame singles sprinkled within.

Box of Birds has FINALLY ENGULFED ME. SK really does sound like vintage 1970's Bowie on a few tracks.

I've always quite liked painkillers. I'm betting I'll really like this one.

SK, nothing like a painkiller, nothing like removing the pain, leaving numbness & the vacuum. On another note, not really my busy I suppose but how the fck does the Church end up supporting the Divinyls? How wrong is that?

Brien C - was a' lissenin' to Box O' Birds meself today whilst going to/from the job thingie today, ah....Painkiller, such a nice take on George's "All Too Much," how I've loved that tune for years. The Kevin Ayers track a fine mood-piece to the day-long rain we finally received today in Atlanta, so grateful to Gaia and Vishnu for life-giving, refreshing rains.

Stumbling over to the TB Pharmacy cabinet, anticipating replenishment of beloved PainKiller - more, please sir.
