dear fiendss
the time being was absent yesterday
due to a lost internet connexion
eg whoever it is hes piggybacking off
finally got wise
and the internet round this way
is scarcer than hens teeth
ok im on now
but its coming n going
getting fainter
getting fainter
wouldnt you know it...thats how life ends
ah.....
so i may not be able to even post this blogge
in which case
how is it that youre reading it...
huh?
so i donna know whatsa going on with the net
dont someone tell me i gotta fork out for that as well now
it may be the straw that breaks the panthers back
here again
i thank profusely
every subscriber who has supported ttb
i appreciate it
and its very honourable of you lot
to chip in...even tho you didnt have to
the people who dont pay are welcome as well of course
just not quite so welcome as the others
no ha ha
thatsa justa me being a foolish being
being foolish
foolish being
ishing foolbe
anyway
nice to have you here
i was fretting to my fambley yessaday
them saying oh jus' have a dayoff
me going no no no
you dont understand
i dont have days off
thru the thick n thin
up against your well
thru rain n sleet n hailstones as big as bowlings balls
i am here
i know you need it
thats why youre fiendss
because you want your being
when you want it
and you dont wanna fucking have to wait
and then you were left cliff hanging
the being delving deeper ever deeper
shorely hay-dey storeys whirr necksed
i was about to finally tell you some thing
when i lost the thread
the internet went down
i was stranded
lowtide becalmed
in a sea of passwords i couldnt guess
signals i couldnt attract
and diagnostics i couldnt understand
fuck em all then
i did what i could
i guess im gonna have to pay
its against my (greedy) principles
i feel the world does owe me a living
or at least
the internet could continue to be free
why isnt there a rule for me
and a rule for everyone else?
so inconvenient doing it by the book
the way eye see it
is this
all tho i am not the greatest
singer
writer
musician
poet
painter
actor
blogger
who ever lived
im so much better
than loads of the useless gits
who are living it larger than moi
in fact
now take 2 minutes
to think of all the talentless
shallow
"straight"
hopeless
idiots
who are
in fact
living it larger than your beloved being
be beloved being
being beloved be
arent you angry that some
pretty insipid boyband
are raking in more shekels
than your heroic killa
or some old actress making 20 mill a pic
while your main man stands in the wilderness of cyberspace
virtual cap in hand
i know it must hurt you my people
to see me in my thousand buck falcon
while lesser luminaries cruise in lexii n beemers
i sit here in my flannelette shirt n my broken glasses
yet blokes who dont know nothing
ponce about in top line suits n ties
the twillies arrived sunday night
+ 5 other swedes from their fambley
will be living round the corner from us
in a nice house
minna looks more like uma thurman than ever
but dont say it!
elli looks like scarlet
there was a lotta noise here lassanite
we scored a few blows back against downstairs
and their insufferable doof doof doof
have been working more on solo album with timbo
its coming along nicely
very pleased
youll like it
its pretty good
im sure youll love it
and you'll say
why aint this guy livin' it large?
and there wont be no answer
thats for sure

livin' large is over-rated
glad you're back
good evening Steve (it's 5:30 am est/-4gmt). This couldn't have been timed better. Just made the last and the first post. Surely, there must be a prize for this one. :-) (can't wait for this one)
snuck in b4 me. oh well..
E-chain both ways, for different needs.. Fascinating.
- Lebrinho
it's getting pretty cut-throat here at the top end of the comments....the quick and the dead!
you have talent
you made millions
you fucked it up
heyday is over
you want us to pay for you pissweak decisions
get a job kilbey.
How does our n e e d of Kilbey work..?
Lebrinho
good to hear on the solo effort.
ha! steve,
did you notice the rather silly arse-kisser comment about me yesterday?
god, did i laugh or what!
i think our cyber-relationship has been a bit more turbulent than that!
would'nt you agree?
luv,
andy L.
Glad everythings ok sk, we were getting worried about ya! Can't wait for that solo record, keep it moving, yay!!
Love always,
Amanda
Glad to see you're back on line now Steve, I'm sure alot of people were starting to get worried!
I don't often comment, but just wanted to get this one off my chest after reading todays comments...
So many people get endless enjoyment through ttb but for those uninteligent beings (anon. 7.46)that are so small minded and unimaginative not to appreciate what steve does, why subject everyone else to your negative crap. Honestly, there is enough bullshit in the world right now, we don't need any more.
Oh and by the way, since when did being an extremely talented musician, artist, writer etc., not classify as 'having a job'?? It's all hard work right? Surely we have to admire those who follow their passions in life. I certainly do...
Pheeeeewhh!!
Glad you're back Steve..
First
Steve how come no live earth for you crunchies? I have no knowledge of musicbiz but something is well out of line. Can you communicate what you think stops yous from being invited or whatever the reason is? It's got me stumped - wanna help you and the crunchies get mainstream recognition......it actually makes me pretty angry.
Really looking forward to the solo album (see not CD) and new hits.
Glad you are surrounded by your grounding off-spring - wallow in it..love it....get pissed of at the change...and love it all the same.
Have loved reading your blogge these last few weeks.
Take care.
Second
To The Hellbound heart
you are more than welcome!

To anomymous at 7:46 PM
Make sure your mind is in gear before you open your mouth (finger) ura wally! GO AWAY!
Love to you all

Ok - some of us here could afford to sling 100 bucks at the Killa, no?
Some can't, I know.
But some of us can - so how about if 20 of us hurl a $100 a-piece SK's way?
It's gotta help and it's piffle money compared to the benefit of a continuing Kilbey, yes?
So how about it?
could be done
Steve, a good title for your new solo album would be: "Path to the Anaconda".
sk,
............but you are the greatest musician, blog-king, r-tiste, etc etc, i ever knowed.
rmchealthy
hey donna kebab
intelligent.Two ls.
do you ever think for one minute(rhetorical) that someone other than you has an opinion based on fact.
sorry about your internet connection...you might have to pay now, hate my monthly bill...don't like any of my bills really. but at least i get enjoyment out of the internet...which is more than i can say for my car insurance. it would take entirely too long to think of all the bands and artists??? who are loaded and shouldn't be...i don't think some should even be doing it period, much less making a living at it. you'd probably enjoy a beemer, but suits and ties...probably not. i could have millions and still be in jeans. you may not have the money, but you make great music. trade offs, i guess. glad your girls are there. take care
hey celticrap
dont you realise that most of the australian youth have no idea who the church are
it would be very hard for organisers to sell events based on has beens
are you really stumped or just a stump
so much anger out there....you all just need BIG HUGS & CUDDLES to make you feel better and you'll forgo the venom
it really works
trully
it does
trust me
on this one
i know about these things
honestly
i do
....of course the cuddles will need to be from Steve to have any real effect....
Some of us have student debts we cant ever pay, no good prospects, no band, no families, etc...none of the success... to say the least..or afford to eat everyday..and most of all do not garner any respect because of our lack of position- not disposition or mind...Count your fucking blessings, man...send a 100$??? are you fucking kidding me...heroin sure does eat up your fortune...and 4 kids? Hmmm...Anon..oooh i didnt leave my name!! boo hoo..I'm so cool and legit, I've got a big blue( or black ) moniker!!! ( So and So you seem like a good person....yawn...Let all the Judges Beware...I'm not afraid anymore....Go figure..^$^ Negativity? oh yeah, only when Steve wants to write it. What are you people so afraid of, your own shadow?? Stand up, say what you mean, its OK...and if you are gonna childishly name-call someone dont use stupid youth phrases like " fuckwit" etc...you can do better than that!!!! be original. The Golden Ass ~*~
bin away myself Steve...and was more than a little surprised to see your monday absence....le blogge today explains it all.
Oh and by the way...you are better by fucking miles and miles and miles (in fact no comparison !)than the "straight" arse kissing hacks that pretend to make music.
hey you
get your golden ass over here for a CUDDLE....
Feel better now?
No more little cranky outbursts?
Now I'll tuck you in.
you may not have much "Anon 11:11pm", but at least you could try to keep your composure. (And a little pride...)
don't apologize for taking the day off. everyone needs a break now and then.
oh, internet woes. i'm being there and doing that right now, but hopefully by the end of today that will be resolved. :)
and you're most welcome for the subscription~~if it helps pay the bill so that i (and others) can continue to enjoy your blog, then i pay gladly. and i definitely hear ya on the undeserving idiots out there who are reaping obscene wealth and recognition for doing much of nothing. and it's not just so-called musicians, either. there's a lot of space-wasters in the world in all kinds of jobs. and while on the subject of live earth ~~yeah, why WASN'T the church asked to play??? again, people just don't what the fuck they're missing. the ignorant masses. :(
so the twillies have finally arrived. yippee!! that should definitely boost your spirits. and it sounds like your solo album is going to be another gem.
but then, they always are. :)
lotza love.....
TTB subscriptions n donations are probably the only fairly regular (if largely in dribs n drabs) income Stevo's had for quite a while now. So if this money has to start going to pay the internet bill, that'll be Steve back on his uppers again. Dunno about you, but it fucks my head to think of a bloke of this calibre bein so skint. There's gotta be summat we can do...yeh?
The Spice Girs, violent Rap Artists and other incarnations of noise pollution continue to rule music news and charts. Today everthing that is innately bad is wrongfully and universally lauded as good. Just imagine that KISS (no talent at all) made and continue to make millions. When will the holy asteroid finally strike the human race. On a brighter note Gordon Brown is off to a pretty good start as Prime Minister in the UK.
So sorry Golden Ass is unable to manipulate basic mathematics...
Elli+Minna+Eve+Aurora+Scarlet=five kids
Not that it is anyone's business how many children a family chooses to have. I doubt those girls are starving in the street, wearing rags and dirty from soot.
::yawning from lack of coffee::
Steve, thank you for amusing, inspiring, irritating, caring for us on a daily basis. Better than the New York Times.
Love from that red-haired witch
Ah Steve, I'm just really glad you're back. I would subscribe, but being a single dad between jobs seems to constantly steal my subscription money (cue violins, if you like...) .... some day, my friend.
"Path to the Anaconda"! What a great title!
I have a question and I'm only asking because I truthfully don't know. Why don't you guys bite the bullet and go out as an opening act for someone? If you guys went out with say REM...wouldn't the cost of the tour be underwritten by them? Leaving you guys to just concentrate on music? If you guys looked your best and played your best, at least half that arena every single night would go home looking to buy Church cds. In exchange for swallowing a little pride...a whole new audience would be exposed to your music. I'm only just throwing an idea out there, but wouldn't that work?
Better to send you money, I´ll buy two copies of your forthcoming album
Yeah, I have a band, I want to open for REM and get a lot of money, ha ha. Seems it´s very easy these days to be the opening act for a band such as REM. Come on!!!!
But REM of all people...I've seen a photo of that Mills bloke holding a copy of the first Church album, so there's none of that House Of Love-style "ooh it's coincidence, 'onest" with those blokes!
PS, I'm sure I will love solo album... and as always, I will ask that question too...
...now that you have an iPod you can go back to the cafe and ignore their stupid music in exchange for their free internet, as long as you buy a soy latte...of course.
I can only manage sending you what I've sent, not nearly close to $100 but then again doesn't 25 years of uninterrupted devotion qualify me for a discount?
Cecilia
xox
No excuses, send him more money
ohh, I feel so sad about the gutless "anonymous" postings too
me guess "they" did not want us to blog yesterday so "they" cut our internet off, anyway, me wish me was there down under to support your new solo album...
mjnjr
Hey you anonymous R.E.M. fan,
I will only say this once, The Church wood never play with R.E.M. or open up for them for that matter, The Church Band rules all bands don't you know, The Church is the only true band that matters,
well in my life anyway...
Jonny Hollywood
Let me clarify one thing please. I only mentioned REM for the sake of mentioning the name of a band. I don't care for them personally but that's just my opinion. Some people in my profession have noticed an occasional resemblance throughout the years. Sorry for not making that point more clear. There are much better bands for the Church to go out with and yes...The Church are the best without question. I saw The Church on the Starfish tour in 1988 with Peter Murphy and another band who escapes my memory. It's not like they haven't shared the bill before. I still say it's an honest question. As far as the anonymous part goes...forgot. I will fix that now. Very lively debates today. I'm enjoying the reading.
Peace,
Mark

Welcome home.
Missed you badly.
And you are the best singer/songwriter/musician/poet/blog-guru who ever walked on finely toned calves.....
Be good if the solo album and singles release brought you some well deserved ££££££'s.
I'll be buying both and keeping up with TTB subs......which are too cheap! It's up to us fiends to pay a more realistic amount for the amazing experience of hearing DAILY (well, we'll ignore yesterday) from Steve effing Kilbey!!!!
Love you more and more and more....
davem
xx
sk,
the internet was messin with ya? it should be free!!!! hard to rely on like everything else. thanks for writing. should be exciting with the twillies racing around amongst everyone else.
ya you deserve to live larger than bands like fall out shelter boy or some other nonsense.. as one of my boss's told me once, life isn't going to be fair. well for frickin' some it is!!!!!
it's rough out there, i'm more than & down to nothing.. still here in some fashion i guess.
peace
why do you think of all the talentless shallow "straight"
hopeless idiots are
in fact living it larger than your beloved being???
Because 90% of faNS ARE ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: this "Heyday" story better be good.
John Garratt
The Church just played with the Pretenders, 'member?
Cecilia
Unfortunately, it's the way of the world. Mozart didn't exactly die a rich man. Unfortunately, monetary success in the artistic world seems to have little to do with true art and everything to do with the marketing and promotion of the talentless, and the selling out of the talented.
I'm not an artistic person in any way, shape, or form. Heck, my cat can draw better than me. I couldn't write a song, play an instrument, write a verse, a poem, a story, take an amazing picture, any of it to save my life. Basically, I have nothing to contribute to the "artistic" world, so maybe I'm not the best qualified to comment on such things.
But I know that when I listen to Kilbey and The Church I feel literally carried away by the music and spritually elevated by the words. I listen to a lot of classical music and a variety of other "artists" and I just don't feel that way with other music and words as intensely and consistently as I do with Kilbey and The Church.
I know when I pull up to an intersection in my van with windows rolled down, it's the only music I never feel tempted to turn down. It's the only music my family doesn't ask me to turn down.
I know my daughter's harass me to no end over my music choices, however, the only CD they ever ask for specifically by name is ULTC.
I know the first song I listen to that my (very picky) youngest daughter ever added to her iPod was Jazz and it's the only music she wants to plug into with me when we are sitting on the swing in the back yard stargazing.
I know the CDs with Steve's art are always the ones people pick up off my desk at the office and gander and gawk at over and over and over.
I know when I read this blog I feel as if I have just taken a trip to the library and pulled an undiscovered book off the shelf. I know when the blog is not there I feel like the library is closed.
I've never been into people worship, because people often disappoint, but I know that despite all of his abilities Kilbey seems like a human being, one with tremendous successes that can't be measured monetarily and one who makes mistakes, as we all do, but who owns up to his for all to see.
So, I don't know much about art, but I do know what I like and what I need to fulfill that aspect of my life. And I know that I'm not alone in that regard.
John
Though doubtful you'd ever be living it large, SK, there must be some regret over the fact you pissed so much $ away on dope over the years (and not just the heroin, either). --Devil's Advocate
Don't we all just piss money away though? You can't tell me you are an investment banker, 5:28 a.m.
Doesn't matter though, because everyone blows money on something...collectible action figures, antiques, spendy meals, stupid girlfriend who needs the gucci purse, bad speculative investment on a condo, bmw you can't make the payments on, starbucks coffee etc etc
ad naseum.
not that I am defending drug addiction, I have 2 siblings who have gone through it and it is a heartbreaker. it doesn't just happen to musicians or roughnecks either.
there is more woman bashing

hey sk,
sucks about the net, that's a pain in the arse.
happy to hear that your twillies have arrived. must be busy round your place!
really looking fwd to the solo album. its been a long wait since dabble.
i agree, your talents are miles beyond those who seem to reap the material benefits in such ridiculous sums. It doesn't make any kind of sense, and it pisses me off.

dear people

sometimes maybe
our american readers
are mistaking this irony
which a lot of my stuff is pickled in
yes i regret the heroin days
and of course
all my problems
are pretty much my own doing
so its a sorta irony
that im saying a lotta this stuff
some truth
some irony

theres humour in here too
its a tragi-comedy
dont get all fluffed up now
anyhow
i love you anyway

While I wish you fortune and modest fame, it is the flanno and falcon that connects us all.
All those luminaries buying babies to fill the emptiness left by their over paid egos. The TB makes his own.
If there's not already an Australian Idol, I know who'd be perfect for the Simon Cowell part.
A hefty paycheck to go with that brutal honesty and biting criticism.

Most of us here understand you sk, and appreciate that you've been so open and honest about your life on this blog. I'd never judge you in any way about what you have and haven't done in your life. You're music, art, poetry and bloggy brings happiness into my own life and I want to say thanks sk.
Love always,
Amanda
you're most welcome, steve.
and we love you, too. <3

hello SK, you were in my dream last night. You joined us on my trip to Gulgong which I just returned from. Very pleasant.
great to hear from you again, steve...for every poison pen that raises its ugly head on your blog there's many, many more of us who think what you do is absolutely amazing...don't change and enjoy your family...i am NOBODY'S ass-kisser, by the way...
love always

SK, I spoke to Sam Hunt earlier this morning, and it looks 99% certain he's hooking up with you in Wellington on the 26th. I've been in touch with Kurt to arrange and to fwd you Sam's ctc details, so it's looking good!!

love you dude!
Ah heysus or some god! let's compare e-net probs:
you don't pay and you get no net
I overpay, and I get not net.
I disconnect net, I get no net, no bills. You're not going sideways or backwards- but then again (scratches head mulling over that last statement).....
I work day 'n nite on les fine arts.
Anywho,
I hear a former vitner gone fine art collector is searching for artists like you: "UNSUBSTANTIATED". Pardone moi, I'll be back later with the name of his Gallery- some of it's out of doors. He's in the southern part of Sonoma...
So there yahavit, get the net while the getting is good.
Peerless Rolling Stone Music Critic, David Fricke, reveres Steve and The Church. He is an objective, music-reviewing icon. Nobody here should ever regret over-hyping the greatness of The Church because it's true ! Crowded House, AC-DC, Tim Finn and Silverchair are overated but in fairness Crowded House is the best Aussie band with the exception of the Anglo-Aussie Band, The Church.
Brian...".the crowdies" come from NZ...VdMxo...and tumm funn and splet unz...as well!
We love you steve

Crowded House consider themselves an Australian band. Nick Seymour is Australian, Paul Hester was Australian. They were formed in Australia.
Hey Steve,
the Milky Way is a core passion for me in reality, in song, mythology, whatever. Ive been based in Wellington 18 years, left Sydney to be with my son here, I remember poets in the park, working with Russell (Crystal Set)and Karen (Curious Yellow), we had great times... will catch up if I can, you painted the aural backdrop to some of the best years of my life, and for that I am ever grateful, as an engineer I love the reality of the acoustic performance, the realness, that I strive to capture and reproduce when i feel thats necesary. I look forward to your show, I'm imaging the milky way foro real these days, see www.sky.org.nz I'm fighting for dark and unpolluted skies. chur for the inspiration.. moza.. YEAH!! That's how it should be. ;-) But of course should and is aren't often the same. It just sucks, doesn't it?
Happy to hear the Twillies got in ok. Had a laugh at you doing to the downstairs neighbors whet they do to you. I was just wondering the other day if they had quieted down....

These new ones are the paintings SK was talking about in the blog entry (titled "chore" I believe) a few weeks ago.
why don't sk have a beamer? he's got integrity. I think, him being a man of the people & all, that even if he could afford a beamer he wouldn't have one...

irony at dinner parties, like those other topics, should be avoided, I learned some years ago, when after indulging in some self deprecatory hilarity, a dinner companion asked me why I always made myself look so stupid, and so it was at that moment the great yawning void of literalism opened up before me in all its horror
Evening sk,
Still catching up on ye olde blogges. Know how u feel with computer probs, had afew of them lately and the printer had to get in on the act too. Argh!!!!!!
Deep breath.
Good news that the twillies have arrrived safely. You'll be speaking in your best authoritive Peter voice to bring order to the house.
Went to see Matt Finish the other nite, didn't know that Matt Moffitt had passed away in 2003. Very sad. Do you know Harry Brus, the bass player. Must say I was very impressed. (Not taking anything away from you, I get mesmerized by watching u play too).
Speaking of playing, it's a long time with no Church news. You haven't broken up and not told anyone have you? Still waiting to see if there is any tour, solo news.
Take care and look after that beautiful fambley of yours.
Peace & love,
Therese
Please don't believe what i said, i was lying, i was cheating!! it's just the distance made me mad... i need a warm hug.
It's pouring here.
i dreamed of the rain just because of you ... darling... come to me... come to me please!

so lets have a lil moment of reflection, we are here in sacred communion supporting our good friend sk
cuz lord knows we cherish the day we first heard the brother sing with the rest of the churcheroz banda jamming and all of that...
lets maintain a level of respect for each other and all things..
Enough said, its great,a really good thing in a time and age where Maya is so powerful and people are bent over and on mediocrity..
I know at least I can grow old and steady.. space rockin all over this mofo ...
Peace jaime r......
All the people who want to give hugs have a great idea. Makes the bastards easier to stab.
C'mon now folks -- eekie wants to give some of you a niiiccceee hug. ;-)
Cee,
I hear murmurs that Moral Kiosk is from Murmur, their opus first record. 5th track to be more exact. Accelerated post-punk Byrds.
Some spend too much time inside their moral kiosk and feel fine. I'm sorry it's always the end of the world as they know it for them.
a simple shift of emphasis, tone, tense
-with added focus on Gratitude-
will reveal knew meanings Now.
Your new record is being modelled after Heyday isn't it Steve??
"We can break the cycle - we can break the chain
We can start all over - in the new beginning...
We learn, we teach, We share
the myths, the dream, the prayer
The notion that we can do better
Change our lives and paths
Create a new world
and
Start all over
Start all over
Start all over
Start all over
We need to make new symbols
Make new signs
Make a new language
With these we'll define the world
and
Start all over
Start all over
Start all over
Start all over ..."
-Tracy Chapman, 'start all over', New Beginning
Your soul is protecting you Steve. You wouldn't be here if you'd made milli-bucks 20 years ago. Be poor, artful and grateful.
TB - this actually worked out well for me, as I was a-travelling and had no internet either. I'm up in the Wasatch Mountains, Rocky Mtn way, no John Denver, but visiting lab testing our stuff for The Man. Nice in the mountains though, and laughing at TB's story of nicked Internet access - used to do the same but, alas, hadda pay up eventually. Staying in a place called Park City, of winter Olympic fame, quite beautiful.
See if the Twillies can cajole the hooked-up neighbor into divulging his password, especially if said neighbor has teenage son (heh-heh). Glad you're givin' it to the doof-doof bunch for a change.
Back on airplane tomorrow - headphones and iPod serving up my favorite artiste (YouKnowWho, famed ArchDruide).
eek,
I am in your camp. I will straighten them out with my blazingly hot hair irons. They will look MAH-ve-lous when we are done with them. Darling, you do have something to take out the blood stains when you are finished with your work?
"you're still beautiful, baby
even when you fall down that way"
So many comments...maybe we can drive him up to the #1 slot.
John Garratt

Good evening Mr Kilbey, Sir.
Just got back from watching ricky & BJM. What a smashing fellow and fine player he is. He's a nice enough guy to have found a few minutes to come and to talk to me and Missus M & my eldest sprog.
Great show...really enjoyed it but, oh...any gig makes me miss you and the Chrunch even more.
Please get the solo album out quick. I'm desperate!!
love you more,
davem

Si, right on baybee and drink another to coin a phrase.
To everyone:
How should one respond to a boy that said he'd do "anything" to have you attend his show on Sunday?
Regarding wifi, where there is a will (to get free wifi) there is a way. Or rather, a cantenna.

SK,
Sorry about your 'net connection issue. I hope it gets ironed out soon. I would surely go nuts without access to the web (my work, communcation and (some) play depend on it). I may be found in catatonic fetal position within two weeks ...or perhaps in a better rested, clearer state of mind.
~Sunshine
hey hey hey
I'm watching the Utube interview series and the one thing that interviewers bring up is the psychadelic thing. I see The Church as a spiritual thing (no pun intended, really!) Floyd is psychadelic, Madrake memorial is psychadelic......This is not to diminish, but to put it into perspective.
yeah, yeah, yea
oh!der!...after a coffee!...where ja want the bow...xoxo
Kilbey and his Fender play upon Mt. Olympus eternally
Down through the heavens he looks
Asks what were you looking for.
Cee,
Anything? Surely he must love you.
Are you trying to tell me
For the last humpdity times
That I've been reviewing your blog
You've said that you're making a new
SOLO ALBUM?
Oh, then....why didn't you say so!
Well then, congradulations are in order.
I for one, cannot wait to hear it.
You know, I love the CHIRPS
And I have for all of this many years
That you've been enjoying us with your talents
But your solos...
How shall I say?
Dabble is still my single most favorite score I ever
I anticipate another serioius score.
BTW, those lovely new paintings...
Sorta Klee like, rather soothing.
He negotiated softer split compliments...with much homage to Aboriginal pointalists.
(Like you didn't know)
I'm off to confront my paintings.
I think that Gallery is called 'Sonoma Reserve' not sure. I'll call attention to you and Holly about more Galleries soon.
PS listening to Slowdive's 'Alison'
nice
which is the larger sin mr. kilbey?
shallow insipid boyband money and fame
or
leeching a little live wire-less connection.
i think we all know the answer but the concern and id be surprised if it had not already been commented upon (haven't read the more than 100 here) would be one of security could it be you are are feeling a little reckless a dangerous and
a little like stickin it to the man
you are so rock and roll baby!
Cheers!
1 of your friendss
Hey melquides, I was doing exactly the same thing last night, having a looksee at YouTube churchy interviews, there's stuff there I remember seeing over 20 years ago!!! Did you see the one with sk and Richard, where naughty sk is casually puffing on a ciggy while the poor interviewer (Donald Sutherland) is trying to ask him "deep & serious" questions...ha ha! I remember that show called "Sounds", they had the Church on ALL the time (when sk felt like it that is!), I miss all those eighties shows we had back then:(
If you're reading this sk, you were (and still are) one sexy being (even smothered with eyeliner ha ha)....thatsa for sure!!
Love Amanda
Amanda I won't agree with the sexy part HA! But that interviewer was...awful
the questions were horrible..where are you playing? what are the fans like? no regard for the music more interested in the lifestyle did they have a no questions about the music rider?
and while for the eye candy value for you, amanda I get nothing but
a very good laugh which is nice.
they could have been THAT BAND that boy band we all despise because they are more machine than mind and heart and soul
...that one i saw both are doing all they can to hold the laughter in
Lift off........
test your skills...click here:

why do you continue to dangle the heyday story carrot in front of our faces? fucking childish dude.
either spill it or don't, but referencing it every 2nd blog is stupid.
Si, Cee.
Ask the boy what's the range of his "anything", if you know what I mean (evil wink).
Look forward to hearing your solo records, especialy the one with William.
Sometimes ol Sydney toun seems like such a small place.
I feel like i've lived a few lives here.
Ask young William if he remembers cracking a 007 breifcase code to a CX5M computer.
If that dosen't jog his memory mention the Love Mussell, ha ha.Worst band in Sydney history.
The singer became famous though it had nothing to do with music.
It's kind of peverse Nevets but he probably earns more than you..
Kind of drums home the point you were making in your previous blogg but hey thats life.
The most talented people i've ever known have no public profile whatsoever.
Steve,
Thanks for the e-mail toward your art vs your music. I see that you're your own artist, like no other. I for one surely don't mean any put downs if I say you're art looks like a famous artists paintings. Take it as flattery please.
Yes I am an artist, a serious one. I hope to share more about that--I recall my first art professor's comment, "You paint much like Bonnard". I said thanks, "I don't mean to." I was really going for a more Vulliard look at the time...but that was then. Now I think that's one of the greatest compliments that I ever had- that my art looked like something very stylish, a post-impressionist.
I change my mind daily about which artist I like- today, it's John Singer Sargent. I've been working on a painting for about 40 hours in the spirit of Richter and a lesser known atmospheric artist who is well versed in the science of color.
My sympathies go out to you for the naughty behavior of some of your fans. In the beginning, I thought they would all be so cool.
so ....what would ya call that?if not seeking company!
