oooh! the famous killa calves! And showing a bit of thigh there too. yee ha!

Gotta laugh at the middle pic. You look -- how should I put this? -- as if you've been ridden hard and put away wet.

Love the look you're giving in the last pic.

Thanks for posting these. You take care of yourself -- you don't want to be all gimpy when NK, the Doodles, and Bumper get home.

you know, steve, your photography is becoming quite an art form in and of itself . i LOOOOVITTTT!!!

question~~how much time had elapsed between the third and fourth pix? in the fourth one you look all nice and neat, and in the third one....well, eek said it best. but the best shot is the last one, the pink and blue one. and of course, i can't NOT comment on those sexy legs. mmmmmm hubba hubba. :)

hope your wrists are better soon. yeah, that rsi is a beeyotch. i have it myself from many years of typing, worst in my right hand from using the mouse, too. occupational hazard, i guess. my fingertips always tingle and the insides of my elbows always hurt.

lotza love........

the filtered world of steve kilbey...as I've said before, I admire your dexterity to compose those shots so well.

the blunnies are just fucking great. I practically live in mine cos they are so comfortable. Who else but our favourite rocker would be brave enough to parade his flannies and blunnies for the world to see !!!

who needs armani or vitton designer crap...your down to earth image is much more cool. Hope the fingers feel a little better.

Anticipating the outcome of your new project.
I got your el momento singuete in the mail the other day. I love the way you and marty sang on Two places at once on this album. It sounds so cool! And NSEW is just phenomenal. It sheds a whole new light on that song when you guys play it that way. Loving your music till eternity,

ah, steve, how very revealing these shots are.
especialy to a fellow musician.
the analog gear.
the stomp boxes.
the stickers on the keys.
the prolific use of felt-tip pen.
the tangle of plugs, leads and sockets.
looking at these shots,
i felt very much at home.
we have the same aims.
i am happy again.
your friend,
andy L.

Now THAT looks like a fun environment! Little bit o' "Puff, puff, give" perhaps??? :)
Hope you're havin' fun. Just take care of those hands. AWESOME! Can't wait to hear what you are working on.

"Nice" surprise this morning for yours truly and his wife...our FOOKING fridge went on the blink. Luckily we have a small fridge downstairs, a freezer too, AND awesome neighbors who let us store stuff in theirs. The worst part about it is, we just went to the market yesterday!! Ah, well, what are you gonna do, right?

As always...
Peace and Love to you, Kilbo, and all the fiendss. Have a great day!

Esskay,

filmed a short clip of movements that should help release your wrist, and uploaded it to my web server. You should be able to click the link and view, or "save as". Will take a few minutes to download before it starts to play.

Check your email, you'll find the link there.

Hope it helps, amigo!

Sk is an enigmatic mind of a higher order. An insanely talented lyricist, vocalist, musician and hippie philosopher. A muscular and vibrant vegan who likes to party. An unusually creative and multitalented human marvel. He may go insane if his myriad talents don't remain prolific and optimal. An injured warrior determind to persevere amid the throes, trials and tribulations.

Boring! Can't you get someone else to take photos of you. They look stupid and (even more)narcasistic when you hold a camera at arms length...and the 'Oh wow' in the studio comments..big deal. I really did wake up cynikal this morning but ..come on. The talk of washed up old rocker is coming true....oh, a secret project..sounds a bit spinal tap to me...

I am generally anti-modeling but you have to admit those Line 6 pedals are fucking awesome. I have three myself.

Dude - don't take this the wrong way - but you do look fantastic.

Keep rocking!

Hmmmm
I recognise some of that gear...is that somewhere I've been before?

and snowfaller I'm with you, I'm usually a lover of vintage or boutique style pedals - but those Line 6 ones, especially the purple filter modeller and the green delay modeller are full of great sounds.

snowfaller said...

As a purist (and as a sufferer of Gear Acquisition Syndrome - which should be as medically recognized as RSI!!!!!), I'd of course much rather have 100+ vintage pedals/amps.

However, as a realist, those Line 6 pedals give you so many sounds for not so much money. They are highly recommended!

I use the delay, filter, and modulation ones.

I'd be lying if I didn't break my personal Line 6/modeling ban after seeing/hearing The Church using them during the recording of FY. Ha!

"Oh Wow", it's PV leaving a stupid, boring comment again, "Oh Wow" you're so cool PV saying all that "rad" stuff about sk, "Oh Wow" you got balls (I assume you're male for some reason!) and what's wrong with Spinal Tap anyway ya knob!

I'm going out on a limb here, chaps, but from the look of these photographs I'm gonna suggest that the old fella looks tired and could be in need of a holiday.

How long since you had a holiday SK?

"Under the Milky Way Tonight" brings me back to my sub-20s, during a summer I spent slaving away in a dusty warehouse, pushing cardboard boxes for 8 hours to pay for college. When that song came on, it gave me pause. A nice respite from the grind of the work, of listening to the 50-something comb-over co-worker prattle on about his trips to Las Vegas but all I could see was a walking dead end. "UTMWT" brings me back to a time before kids, before marriage, when I had a 300 horsepower Chevrolet Malibu, something out of Mad Max, and I loved its throaty growl, just touching the accelerator would lurch you into the back seat. Get it on the highway and nothing could touch you, not even close with your radio blaring and the windows cranked down. I drove to the record shop (remember?) and picked up "Starfish" on cassette. I may still have it on my old carrying case in the attic. I believe it, like many other tapes, got a bit warped in the summer heat. When CDs came out, I got it, still have it. Still love it.
Gads, I'm 36 and I feel like an old-timer.

I used to put "N S E W" up to 11 and stand, arms outstretched, legs astride,at the edge of our pool, which was so close to a man made cliff edge. The wind would whip up the side of that 20 ft droop, and my hair would fly up.It was so exhilirating.I felt as though I could just take off and fly away..thats what I ALWAYS w wished for..That was 1988,am happy now,no need to fly away..Elisa oxoxo

RSI a real drag. I have abated mine by moving the mouse to the left side and resting my forearm on a picture album , keeping the arm straight not bent in... My right hand only for typing. May be the laptop thingie tho. Sod the words. We're spoiled rotten by you. just send pics! They're great... Ask your fellow musos if they can star for a change, and Bondi - love that curve of beach, that curl of turquoise waves and the foam slapping and flying off the tops...

Ah miss it Steven. Send pics!
