awww....come on!! you won't be a bachelor for too long. the wife will be home before ya know it. :) and i'm sure all the kisses from the doodles and bumper will more than make up for what's amiss now.
is that the pool you swim in?? is it heated? or are you one of those "polar bear" folks~~swimming in the dead of winter, roughing it in cold water?? brrrr.....
love the hat, and the reflection of your arm in those groovy shades. ;) bondi appears beautiful~~the pretty white sand makes me think of florida. and what sapphire-blue waters.
so.....THIS is the kitchen where the Time Being generates his daily diary, huh? now us fiendss get to view the Time Being in his element. i'm glad you have decided to take up photography.
this is such a treat, steve. you just don't know!!! thanks so much for sharing all this. what a wonderful way to end my day, as it's late sunday evening and i'm off to bed....

ooohh, one more thing~~if you ever make it to new orleans again, there is a bar that's about 200 years old on the corner of bourbon and bienville in the french quarter called "old absinthe house"...it's a lovely olde place:

Easy on the mouthwash Killa.
Remember what Vincent did to his ear. Then you'd have no chance trying to sing in tune with those other noisey bastards around you.
Belfy
howd u get that thru customs then?
Wot's with these puncey new fangled pools in Bondi ?!
that's not like back in my day when we had real men's tidal pools.
ahhh yes - you'd slice ya feet on the shell shrapnel and crack a few ribs when ya'd get smashed into the walls by the breakers comin' over the top and freeze ya nuts off with the Antartica currents (in summer mind ya) and if you were lucky ya could stay warm by gettin' stung a few times by the odd blue bottle while doin' ya laps.
kids these days - they dunno wots good for 'em.

You must have a long arm sk...those self potrait shots are well composed...I never get them that good !
love the sea pool..the back beach at Sorrento in Melby had a sea pool (maybe still there...dunno!)but it it was just rocks etc on the bottom and sides. i like your version better...very swish. I was in Bondi last November (Melb Cup weekend)and the day I was there it poured with rain and howled a gale so hard...didn't look like these shots.
thanks for taking the time to show us around...very benevolent of ya. Hope life is treating you well now that ya home and that your Shadow is being well behaved as well.
ps...i know yer just back...but will Melby see you soon ???
Mate, lookin good -- you can't see the signs of a gruelling european tour at all , were you shitting us.

If I lived near that beach I would walk for miles and miles and miles to shed the fat I have accrued from vegetarian junk food (chips and carbs). I live amid a perilous concrete jungle !
yeah, easy on that Green Faerie mouthwash, eh!
swish - gargle - spit - repeat
glad to see that you are in a better place than when our paths crossed 10 years ago or more
go steady Steve, that looks gruelling work, need an apprentice???
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha plop!!....genx
many thanks for the inter invite into the home of so many fascinating folks , killa , the t. b., nevets, neuman a host of others ..
it is my humble opinion that these insights add to the mystique not detract from it , these few homestyled photos cause a myriad of new scenarios to be formulated ... i wonder more now than before not less ..so simple , so easy so kilbey. wish i could be there ...peace, david
What brand absinth is that? Is it the locally available 'green fairy' that contains between 7 and 9 milligrams of Thujone??
from the Czech company the green tree??
or is it something you 'imported'
PV
Very cool pics Steve, thanks for taking us home.....thats one hell of a pool and the ocean looks peaceful. Rest up and take it
easy you deserve it. Your dedication to the blog is to be commended I have done a journal for the past year ++ and only write a couple times a week it takes disipline. Life goes by fast and I like to document whats going on...now if I only had some excitement! (Frusturated journalist or something going on here)
All the best

Amazing pics! I'd always wondered what this pool you always talk about looks like - it's gorgeous! I've never seen a 'sea pool' like that. Would it be out of line for me to say I think you sexy in your professor look? ; )
love,

Oops - I meant I think you LOOK sexy with your professor look. My eyes are tired and I've been at this computer way too long.

SK,
Hmm... is leaving the cabinets open a guy thing? I feel I'm constantly closing cabinets and such in our little kitchen. Nice beach pics and self-portraits, Mr. Kilbespondant, sir.
I read that a few days ago you caught a bit of The Illusionist. I'd say you should finish that one (as others advised), because it was a pretty decent film, however I preferred it's competion "The Prestige" (w/ Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson & Michael Caine.) I thought it had more suspense and surprise to offer.
I think "The Illusionist" is a better rental than in-theatre experience, because the plot is so confusing the first time around.
Glad you're home safe.

that was supposed to read "competition"...

AWESOME!! That beach and pool look killer...no pun intended! What a beautiful place to live, Stevo. Nice! Thanks for posting those...it is actually pretty close to what I pictured. Wild...
Enjoy that gorgeous weather!
"Keef Stilbey" Brilliant name!!!!
Lovely photos. I enjoyed making a game out of identifying the things on your table.
Wow, great comments Duchess! How does your gutless little Anonymess friend from yesterday rate your glittering thoughts?
I bet the two of you are exactly the sad, washed up kind of old fucks who yell out cringe-worthy inanities at Church gigs.
Goddamn it, Isolde !
I very nearly put those words up on the comments section myself this morning then decided against it.
Been humming that all morning - of course set off by SK's caption.
That is one of the most gorgeously simplistic choruses of all time - one of G's strong points. Great outro too - with tambourine - plus a nice little slid guitar thing throughout whole song.
"Faithful's not a bad word"...what a beautiful motto.
yeah its a beautiful song arks
I enjoy the pictures. You look more relaxed in them. Thanks for putting them up.
to davem,
stop panicking mate,
i think we may have to wait a bit,
and it's going to have to be better organised,

Hey, when was the last time you did your dishes? Are you the kind of guy who waits until there's fuzz growing on 'em until you do something? Ahh..I tell ya what, your missus is a very lucky woman, you sexy beast.

nice pool...whatta view! good shots of ya mister kilbey...looking very nice, my wife says...way younger than your 52 years. interesting pic of the table...got the sunglasses, the absinth, and what's in that baggie there??? take care man.
wow, that's a cool pool. Incredible coastline and beach.
what do ya do when you have to fend for yourself? i end up with pasta and sauce dumped out of the jar. or eggs. lots of eggs and toast. Too stubborn to go to any trouble to cook, and too lazy to go out...

Portrait of a Man in Black, dapper Fedora. Laps in that pool are really laps...I had no idea how big it was, and in an incredible setting too. Another warm chlorinated night, the pool throws blue light?
I am absent of Absinthe, but I see you're not, however my baggie was replinished this weekend. Thanks for photos.
Hey Steve,
my friend Antonio who lived near Bondi Beach said that you should make a photo near "Cafè de wheels".
Best from Italy

take care and enjoy the peace while you can.......
Dear Prof. Dr. spc. rock. Kilbey,
so that's what the pool look like. It's awesome. So spacious. That makes me a tiny little bit envious, because the pools in Germany are usually so crowded that it's more like dodging people and bumping into people than real swimming (which becomes incredibly more fun when you're short-sighted).
Great shots :-)
Jens
Yep (In a Hank Hill voice)-
That there is a kitchen alright...baggie or OREGANO on the table and everything.
:)
Dear Mr. Wormwood, that pool is incredible! and it looks like you brought back some spirits with you.
so, to further prove the batchelor life is in full swing let's see the contents of your fridgey.
btw, listening to Quick Smoke....
And there's far too many
And there's much too much.....
not enough
cheers,
Brian
Looking a little gaunt...maybe from the tour...not eating well. Time to stuff up a little maybe...
