a new week
an open book
we move into summer
north moves into winter
oh roll out those hazy crazy lazy days of summer
and let the good times roll too....
hot tropical nights w/ rain beating down
romance
celebration
beautiful music swelling up
the memories all crowd in
parties break out up n down the streets
in bedrooms lovers merge
champagne mixing with the deluge
tropical fish tank throws green light
flesh flows n dips
new life begins
black cat in darkness
witches familiar
gentle knock knock knock at door
you stand there unchanged
broad palm leaves collect water
clouds hurry on by
wine and roses
bamboo n chinese shrubs
sleek cars pull away
the mysteries enfold each other
god
angel
woman
child
nothing
everything reduced
everything must go
the storm renders all black n green
the outside is a blur
vaguely hear voices
someone somewhere laughing
someone else singing
the night stretches on for miles
it squeezes the city
it squats down over the coast
and envelopes the houses
it fools around with golf courses n playgrounds
it slides under the doors
it drips outside the windows
nightflowers bloom
nightfriends arrive
all around us the arms of the night
rain increasing steadily
thunder a deep rumble out to sea
give in
give up
give way to it
succumb
go under
lose yourself
loose yourself
let the thoughts
roll to the back of your mind
rest
let it all go
sleep

Beautiful imagery Kilbey! Hope you bring some Kilbey merch with ya when you make it to Bris! XX
5am; no nearly six. In tropical heated darkness Darwin.
I'd love to read your description of darwin...i can't do it, I'm too pissed off with it.
let it all go yeah; but sleep? I bet you are actually swimming across the deep grey green.....hmmm..this one makes me think of the south coast, the 'gong, coalcliff, all those seaside towns hangin at the edge of the ocean, waiting to slip away or be built over.
oh yeah! met a guy at the pool yesterday who has been banned from every public swimmming pool in darwin for swimming under water!
I had gotten in there all angsty and listened to this guy deep-breathing like a whale and all his accoutrements and tried to detach like Our Good SK Sage lesson but couldn't and went for an underwater swim and it worked.
it worked, and the guy told me all about the underwater hold-your-breathe swimmers and some of them are 60-70 yr old women in japan.
i mention it because the swimming blog was so potent. it will last.
tra. have a nice sleep/week
I wish it was still summer here..it sounds so niiiiiice!
Melting ice creams on old cracked vinyl..the sound of droing cricket commentators floating out houses on a Saturday afternoon, the rich smell of eucalytus oil, look up and hit with the sense that this place is fuckin ancient and totally unknowable and just foreign to my Anglo genes.
Oh summer sounds so inviting, too bad its getting cold here!!
summer is a bit slow to start up over here in NZ but it will come I am sure..just thought I would tell all nevets u2 space rocked on Saturday, simply brilliant = ing (nearly) my recent Crunch experience. It's funny but similarities between our fav group and bono's crew don't stop at just that. The boy's have that longevity based on a shared mateship and musical unity like the Cherrtch and it shows... in front of 50 thou, moments of space rock shimmer through the southern winds and milky way. Bonos voice just gets better, so does our muse Killa Killbee.
not a suprise I wouldn't think.

Sometimes
I wish I was back in Isolde's town
Underneath the deluge
Fat insects humming
Frangipani

Warm nights

In England

Strange to be on the other side of the earth...said Hoodwinked. And then he gathered his cloak and lit his pipe...and coughed...Steve, I have a message for you, it reads:just let it all go.Idius repeteus...
There’s a calming quality within today’s poetry – beauty and serene.
Thank you.

I was in New Z a few years back warm long nights watching a sunset that took hours to go down. Somewhere near Auckland. The only place I have ever been that just really felt utopic to me. Aussy too hot and dry!

mmmmmmm. warm summer rain. and how beautifully you described it. i can close my eyes now and picture everything~~the puddles, gentle drizzle, muffled thunder coming from miles away, the tip-tap of rain on window glass....
thanks for today's poetry. lotza love....
That's what I like about living in Florida- late fall and early spring are beautiful-temps so moderate, humidity gone. And a thunderstorm at night makes things even that much better...

Dear anonymous, who called his lordship el blogger "babe" and said he was "just so close" - seems to me imperfection is part of the state of humanity... This blogge for me is everything it could or should be... Far more than I had hoped for... Its stream of consciousness, now reaching a marvellous, exhilarating letting go, is all existence of a daring and gifted writer communicating his daily world in generosity and experimentation, and for me precious in whatever slips and warts and blips and fillups and peculiarities and gorgeousnesses it possesses... it's a blogge, not a novel... but i can see you have appreciated it very deeply too... good on you for that... And are happy to pay... I thank you for that too. Salaam
I love storms, the thunder, the electric light show, the sound of rain falling, leaves bending under the weight. The mother of the storm has to roam the sky...... winter coming on here, but I love that too. Falling snow is a beautiful thing, crackling warmth of fire glowing - I dunno, it has a primitive appeal all it's own. Like that Neil Young song about the spawning fish, you can hear a crackling fire in the background that got recorded along with that plaintive voice of his......"Will to Love" I think.
Enjoyed the storm imagery from coastal Oz. I can see it in my mind's eye, everything fresh and green when the light returns.

sk (and to verdelay too)
i hardly know what a hot rain feels like
although i can smell the ozone
and freshly damp street sand
collected in the gutters
awakening to its own
unique
smell
give me tonight
cold november
where's the snow?
and the rain beats down
unwelcoming and abrasive
yet life affirming
if you are wise enough
to run home
and stay warm
never have walls and a
"honey, are you home?"
felt so comforting
dreamy humidity

I wish I was on that unexpected journey sk, just beautiful.
I'm so excited, I just picked up my sk vs mwp tix and apparently it's almost sold out! IT's gonna be packed, hot and sweaty, I cant wait.
Take care and love always,
Amanda

Enjoy that summer Steve. Where I live, Portland Oregon. It's snowing. As I am typing this, the snow is coming down. And you know its cold, but there is something relaxing about watching the snow fall down.
Steve, anytime soon that The Church will put out a live cd or dvd? I own the Priest=Aura live video and as you know the picture quality is not that great. I know these kind of productions cost lots of money and maybe it would not be a good idea, but I figure that is does'nt hurt to ask.
Take care.
Some guy who lives in Portland Oregon.

Lovely words SK. Thanks.
I know you're vegan, not veggie so I'm feeling guilty about the winter-repelling qualities from the smell of the macaroni cheese and garlic mushrooms I've just put in the oven. It suited the mood you've invoked though. Wet, windy and wintery here in blighty.
Hope you can forgive me...I cannae shake off the dairy-produce....yet.
Love you more,
Dave M

My veggie bacon is full of sodium! 220 mg for 2 slices, my conscience will be clear but my hypertension will sky rocket...dang!
Not the Mod
Late November and I'm walking round the north of England in a fucking t-shirt!
Not even remotely cold.
Fucking shite - where's my bastard winter?!
It should be freezing, with gales, rain and roiling grey-black clouds.
But no - mild as fuck n pale blues skies!
SHITE!
