my valiums n panadeine fortes are keeping the back pain at bay
i gotta seat on my own on way here

ive just turned on my lappy
and got connected straight away
having said all that
not much to report really
on my way to budapest
never been in eastern europe before

im sure therell be a little friction when east meets west
but it cant be helped
there were a buncha hungarian kids at bully high
they were all quite nice too
have no real preconceptions at all
will let it all happen as it wants
i no longer need to control things
the way i once tried to
and lifes easier that way
i hadda last minute panic
when my ipod locked up
but the lovely laetitia helped me unlock
at the last moment too
taxi waiting n everything
was quite despondent
it just needed a little jiggery pokery
laetitia youre promoted to
lady of the sk realm
lady laetitia of coogee arise
for services to the great cause
as you can imagine fiendss
im not really in a raconteur mode rite now
so i may save my battery
wish you all a good morning
night
or whatever the fuck it is where you are
i love you all

Have fun, appreciate the updates. At the bully high of nowadays, the boys growin their hair long again. Carrying guitar cases, looking like hendrix etc... nothing much changes back here on the ground.

Hi Steve,
Glad you've found time to contact the fiends.
I've been boring all the guys and gals at work about the flight, your back & your hate of flying.
Glad you're safe & it's gone well.
Good luck in Hungary.
Counting down to the Borderline. 5 more sleeps til churchtime for me and the missus.
Love you more,
Dave M
It's very quiet out there.
Are all the fiends packed in your suitcases?
I need a thesaurus.
Will bring one to the Borderline for you. May not be gift wrapped though.
mr kilbey,
cant believe you are on your way here. I am just preparing to go pick up PK. Pouring rain, flight delayed, etc...But the weatherman promises better things in the days ahead.
your pic seems all over the place here, newspaper, magazines, online news. I just heard big caravan coming from Sopron (thats a little town in Hungary some 2.5 hours from here). Seems like you'll be drawing folks from all over the countyside, and Zagreb, Prague, and Vienna as well (thats what i hear!)Club Manager said he rarely heard of such things for a concert in little ol' Budapest. Actually, Budapest is a quite big, interesting, and enchanting city, as you will soon see. You'll be sleeping within stone throw of the Chain Bridge (really gorgeous at night), and far as I can tell, no construction going on nearby!
Hope your next flights will be as easy going as your first one. Once you get here, we'll take good care of you!

Happy to hear your flights are going well so far, hope that they continue well. Still sending loads of positive vibes your way.
Are you gonna go to Prague? Will you have time? Prague is beautiful! Glad your back is alright and you had some space on the flight. Enjoy.

You'll be somewhere over the mediteranean now - it is a mission isnt it?
Still you gotta physche yourself up for a big performance for those Budapestians - sounds like they deserve it.
I know youre such a sport lover so NSW won the first State of Origin match 17 to 16 last night.

Hi Latticia and Steve,
Part of me wishes so much that i could see ya in london, i just couldn't get mah shit together but i've e mailed all my friends over there to make sure they catch ya, i'm sure its going to be amazing, london always had a thing for the church.
I am reminded of the first time i saw you guys on tv in london, it was a video of Unguarded Moment on a show called 'The Old Grey Whistle Test,' hosted by Anne Nightingale, anyways i rung her up and asked her to play it again the next week, which she did. It would have been kinda nice to catch ya playing in Londinium again, maybe i'll head out next time.
In the meantime, look after your back, i know your in good hands with Latticia, she's an angel.
It's freaking freezin in sydney, but the surf is good.
Good luck on your flight!!
so you had a good flight? great!! that should set the tone for the rest of the trip......thanks so much for thinking of us to write while on the road!!! love and hugs.
hey Captain Mission,
i'm still here in Coogee, gosh I wish I was flying to Europe to see them in my home country (Spain!!). one day...
Steve's iPod froze yesterday and he called me and we fixed it and he was happy again :) i can't imagine flying 24 hours with an iPod these days!
Steve, good luck with the gigs and the jetlag, and if your iPod or iBook misbehave again check Apple's site:
iPod support (yours is iPod video, 5th generation)
iBook support (yours is iBook G4 mid 2005)
Steve,
So glad to hear your first flight went well, and even more glad to know you got some drugs to help w/pain! And speaking of...just read on CNN that UCLA researchers did a study on your favourite smokin' material and found NO increase in lung cancer risk - even for the heaviest of smokers. Anyway, it's neither here nor there for me, as I don't do any of it (and don't want to get into another debate, ye gods), but let's hope this study is right and you can enjoy your smokes w/o *that* fear!
So enjoy Europe and your twillies...
love,
denise

Just as I was feeling sad and blog-deprived, I saw your new blog all the way from Hong Kong!!! I'm thrilled to bits that you'll be doing a blogging tour as well, I can't wait to read some juicy Church stories from the other side of the world. I've heard those hot-blooded Spanish fans are a real handful!
Oooooh, sk with his evil laptop on tour...save some battery for us too, ok!!! :)
Take care of yourself (and that precious laptop we're all relying on)love always from the land downunder,
Amanda P
eastern europe is great, man. so steeped in history. i got a soft spot for the balkans. been to slovenia a couple times, and bosnia, serbia, croatia... The dalmatian coast is a paradise of islands in a translucent sea... Gotta love a place where the old men at cafe's have a little nip of somethin every morning to get the day started right...
safe travels, amigo!

Taking at least one hour
Just for your fans.
Busy, but always one moment for us.
Even if it's just 5 minutes.
It's very kind and moving of U Steve.
I'm too always busy.
But I always have one moment
For reading your bloggs.
And I always do my best to decipher them...
Not always easy though...
Reading them every morning
Makes me feel good for the rest of the day.
It's like taking some vitamin C...
I need it everyday !...
Thank U,
Love
Malika
